     I am excited about student learning in the mathematics classroom. I believe that it is imperative for all of us  to work together to make this a successful year. You are encouraged to email me at axmcintyre@atlanta.k12.ga.us , phone me at (678) 304-8089 or visit the school during tutorial on Wednesday, 4:05 p.m. - 4:25 p.m., when you have a question concerning student progress. I would also like to invite parents who have expertise in mathematics to share your experiences with the class. If you are interested in sharing, feel free to contact me.

In the classroom, I expect every student to exhibit mathematical processing. This should be done through making sense of problems, persevering in solving problems, reasoning abstractly, constructing viable arguments, critiquing reasoning of others, modeling with mathematics, strategically using appropriate tools, attending to precision, looking for & making use of structures and expressing regularity in repeated reasoning. My goal is to help facilitate these types of mathematical processes during class. So let's have a wonderful year.
